Law enforcement agencies have used canines for decades. The mission of the Detection Canine Program is to provide federal agencies and state and local law enforcement with the tools, techniques, and knowledge to better understand, train, and utilize detection canines.
Central Alabama Police Canine Training Assoc holds the highest standards for our detector dogs. We selection test every dog to ensure they have the traits and drives necessary to be detection dogs. Our detectors, K9s, are passive indications, and we teach the dogs to have the ultimate focus and pinpoint the odor's source. These dogs are incredible to watch and even more fun to handle.
Narcotics Detection Dog School is six weeks long.
Central Alabama Police Canine Training upholds the highest standards for our Dual Purpose dogs. We carefully assess and test every dog to ensure they possess the necessary traits and drives required to be dual-purpose dogs. Our Dual Purpose Dog School lasts for ten weeks. Law enforcement agencies have been utilizing canines for many years. The mission of the Dual Purpose Canine Program is to equip state and local law enforcement agencies with the tools, techniques, and knowledge necessary to better understand, train, and utilize Patrol canines.
Central Alabama Police Canine Training upholds the highest standards for our Patrol dogs. We conduct selection tests on every dog to ensure that it possess the necessary traits and drives to be a Patrol dog. Our Six-week Patrol Dog School aims to equip law enforcement agencies and state and local law enforcement with the tools, techniques, and knowledge to better understand, train, and utilize Patrol canines, which have been used by law enforcement for decades.

Training Police Explosive
Training Police Accelerant Dogs is a five-week course that runs 8 hours a day for six weeks. The course involves pre-trained suitable canines, practical exercises, lecture material, two written examinations, and certification upon completion. It is geared towards Firefighters and Arson Investigators.
